What a pump installation is
Pump installation is setting a pump and motor on a well that can take it: the pump in the hole or a booster on the pad, the drop wire or the suction line, and the control box or drive at the surface. If a pump is already in the well, the job starts with a pull. We do not order a pump from the driveway before we know why the last one failed.
The public job notes on Recent Work are the record. One Aguanga job was a new 10 GPM, 1.5 HP, 230V single-phase submersible with a control box. After it was in, the test on that well was 12 GPM at 9.4 amps. A Ramona job was a seized pump and motor, a bent shaft, and degraded wire on a 250-foot setting. That one got a new pump, motor, and drop wire. Those numbers belong to those wells. They are not a price list and they are not a sizing chart.
What we need from you
- The last time the pump was pulled, if you know it.
- Whether the house has no water, or the pump can wait for a scheduled day.
- Sand in the toilets, a breaker that trips, or a control box that hums.
- Single-phase or three-phase power at the well, if you know it.
Horsepower, wire size, and the depth the pump is set come from the well in front of us and from the pump sizing calculator as a starting range, not from the neighbor's pump. Repair of a pump that is already in the hole is well pump repair. A booster on a storage tank is booster pump service.

Questions we hear
Do you install a pump without pulling the old one?
If a pump is already in the well, installation starts with a pull so we can see the pump, the wire, and the drop pipe. A booster on a pad is a different job.
Can you use the sizing calculator as the order?
The calculator gives a horsepower range. The pump we set matches the well we measure, the power at the site, and the wire run.
Which shop installs the pump?
Ramona and Anza both do pump installation. San Diego County towns are usually out of Ramona. Southwest Riverside County towns are usually out of Anza.
