Water Testing in De Luz, CA

Know what's in your gabbroic rock and weathered granite well water

What to Test For in De Luz Wells

The geology in De Luz — gabbroic rock and weathered granite — directly determines what contaminants you're likely to find in your well water.

Common Contaminants in De Luz

Based on local geology and years of testing De Luz wells, here's what we typically find:

Water hardness: 8-14 grains — this causes scale buildup on fixtures, water heaters, and appliances
Total Dissolved Solids (TDS): 300-600 ppm — affects taste and can indicate other contaminants
Specific to gabbroic rock and weathered granite: moderate hardness, occasional boron (bad for avocados)
