Moreno Valley groundwater, with the monitoring wells set aside

This town is served from the Anza shop at 57174 CA-371, Anza, CA 92539. Voice (760) 440-8520. Text (760) 823-7963.

DWR Bulletin 118 basin 8-05, the San Jacinto Groundwater Basin, underlies Moreno, Perris, Menifee, and San Jacinto Valleys. The 2016 boundary description places the Box Springs Mountains on the north. Valley fill in the western and northern parts of the basin reaches about 900 feet in the 2003 description, and may exceed 5,000 feet farther east between the Casa Loma and Claremont faults. DWR's basin-wide production range of 200 to 2,600 gallons per minute is not a Moreno Valley house-well yield.

California DWR Well Completion Reports compiled in the site well-depth file (generated January 30, 2026). Depth and yield figures below use the domestic water-supply reports tagged with that city. The file has 332 reports tagged Moreno Valley. 171 are monitoring wells, many of them shallow auger holes, so a median taken from every report is not a domestic well depth. The 52 domestic reports have a median depth of 304 feet, the middle half are roughly 270โ€“440 ft, and the median reported yield is 10 gallons per minute (49 reports with a yield). One of those reports lists 2,600 gallons per minute, the top of the DWR basin production range, so it is not a typical house-well yield.

The public Recent Work file has one Moreno Valley project: pump service on April 22, 2026 (Well service in Moreno Valley). This page does not add job cards from other cities to fill a list.
