Lowered the pump 60 feet with three sticks of 1-1/4 inch drop pipe and new sub cable. The well was running when we left.

Reset tank precharge and the 40/60 switch so the system cuts in and out on the right psi. Cycled cleanly at normal amps.

Replaced a corroded 1-1/4 inch nipple and added a union at the pressure tank. Cleaned the switch ports and flagged a waterlogged tank for replacement.

Took apart the pressure switch to clear contacts and confirm the nipple was open. The well stayed on its normal cycle after the cleaning.

Reset tripped breakers and straightened bent pump-saver pins so the 1 HP control box lid would seat. The well cycled at a normal 9.4 amps.
A booster was overheating and would not hold 50 psi. Bled air, eased the pressure switch, and confirmed the tank is likely waterlogged.
